Three generations from the Felician Sisters were represented at the Diocesan Youth Celebration “Follow Me” held at Greensburg (PA) Central Catholic High School on Sunday, April 26. SM Jeanine Morozowich, S Peggy Marie Rosehart, S Veronica Marie Lucero and candidate Regina Garofalo spent the day with youth from around the Diocese of Greensburg.
Sponsored by the Office for Evangelization and Faith Formation, the event brings students in ninth through twelfth grade together for a day filled with music, food, prayer, games as well as liturgy with Bishop Lawrence E. Brandt.
The young people made their way to nearly a dozen tables representing the consecrated life and the diocesan priesthood. After ice breakers, prayer, and music, “lunch buddies” were teamed up by way of parishes and those who had a table at the event.
During the afternoon, the young people had to identify which sister or priest had submitted some interesting fact. Sister Jeanine was identified as having graduated from Greensburg Central Catholic. Sister Veronica participated in a type of “karaoke ” and sang “I will follow him.” Jesse Manibusan, a noted singer and storyteller, rounded out the day with participation of the youth and his stories.
According to Sister Jeanine, the sisters and Regina were energized and inspired by the youth and their enthusiasm.
