World Day for Consecrated Life.


The Most Rev. John Joseph Myers, Archbishop of Newark, officiated at the Celebration of the Eucharist held at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, NJ, at noon on Sunday, February 3, marking World Day for Consecrated Life.

In the background is S Rose Marie Smiglewski who is celebrating 60 years of religious life. At right, SM DeLourdes Zdunowski, celebrating 60 years as a Felician Sister, graciously accepts her gift from the Archdiocese of Newark. 
The Felician Sisters of the New Jersey area were well represented at the Cathedral Mass and at the reception that followed. According to SM Virginia Tomasiak, they were eager to applaud each jubilarian but especially their dear Felician Sisters celebrating special anniversaries this year who came to this event: S Rose Marie Smiglewski (60 years); SM DeLourdes Zdunowski (60 years); SM Bridget Becker (50 years); SM Honorata Grzeszczuk (25 years)
