Sister Heather Marie Professes First Vows

“Look to Him that you may be radiant with joy” (Psalm 34) was the theme of the Eucharistic Liturgy and Rite of First Profession of Vows of S Heather Marie Deneen on Sunday, August 19, in the Mother of Good Counsel Convent Chapel, Chicago, IL.
Sister Heather was indeed radiant as she responded to questions from the celebrant and homilist, Father Jerome J. Jacob, pastor of her home parish of St. Edna in Arlington Heights, IL. Her joy continued when she professed her vows into the hands of SM Christopher Moore, provincial minister, as S Judith Marie Blizzard, director of formation, and SM Geralyn Mroczkowski, provincial councilor, served as witnesses.
SM Sharon Iacobucci, her novitiate director, assisted the celebrant and Sister Christopher with the presentation of the symbols of religious profession: the black veil, the crucifix, and the Rule and Constitutions of the Felician Congregation.
After a home visit and participation in the weekend gathering of annually professed sisters, Sister Heather will join her new local community of St. Ann Convent inKingstree, SC.
