Sister Maria Louise Embraces Felician Congregation
Nearly 100 family members, colleagues and friends joined the Felician Sisters in praising God for the gift of this new vocation to the Felician family.
The celebration of the Eucharist in thanksgiving for the entrance to religious life of Sister Maria Louise Edwards took place Sunday, August 12, 2012 in Immaculate Conception Convent Chapel in Lodi, NJ.
“Help me to live out the Gospel every day of my life. Teach me your rule and help me to learn to love my sisters as Christ commanded me.”

With these words, postulant Louise Edwards took the next step in her formation toward becoming a Felician Sister. The simple “Rite of Initiation into Religious Life” for Louise took place in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Convent Chapel in Coraopolis, PA, on Friday morning following the community’s celebration of Eucharist.
Referring to St. Lawrence, deacon and martyr, whose feast is celebrated today, he said, “St. Lawrence models that total dedication to God . . . that Louise is to have as a Felician.” He noted that, like St. Lawrence, Louise will be called to assist the poor as a Felician Sister.
